After a long, slow trip on the Friday we arrived at the campsite. They were very friendly and the facilities were really good too. Then Keith (aka Sweaty Sock) turned up and came and joined us in our tent. We had a good evening just sitting chatting and chilling out, ignoring the rain that was tapping on the tent roof.
We were up early the following morning, with the sun shining, had bacon butties and then we were off. We did a couple of lanes that Keith had done before. On one particular corner of one of the lanes, the rear drivers wheel found some very loose mud and it slid into a big hole as you can see below.

Next we headed to the Strata lane where the views were amazing. We did have to make a stop so Paul (aka Mr happy) could tighten up one of the wheel bearings on Tigger, but then we were off again. Loads of winding lanes through wooded areas, and then you could see out over the reservoir. We crossed a few rivers before stopping for lunch and having a play in a bomb hole. Unfortunately Tigger had a go at the bomb hole and the rear passenger half shaft snapped.
We ended up being towed all the way back from there by Keith to the campsite. The following day we travelled home on the back of a recovery truck, but we all had fun and thoroughly enjoyed it and have said that we will definitely be going back again to complete the lane. Next time Tigger won’t break.
